Johnny Depp resumes his acting career with ‘Jeanne Du Barry’ after a break of 3 years

The prominent superstar, Johnny Depp who has been a part of the most-liked movie series, Pirates of the Caribbean will now be appearing in Jeannu Du Barry

French movie maker Maiwenn Le Besco will be directing the periodical movie, Jeanne Du Barry. Johnny Depp will be depicting the role of King Louis XV. It is a story about a poor girl and how she reached some of  king’s close circle. The world premiere of the film is scheduled for the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival, celebrating its 76th year of existence.

The legal proceedings of Johnny Depp’s case with his wife, Amber Heard went on for an elongated amount of time. Depp was accused of abusing Heard. This case nearly destroyed his acting career and fame. But the judgment was in his favour and he won the case in 2022. During his case, the actor wasn’t seen doing any movies, although he used to make appearances on television.

This will be an awesome comeback for Depp, who had faced so many hardships during his trial. Fans are excited about his upcoming French drama, which will be a sensational love story. It has been the most awaited period for the audiences to watch Depp on screen.

Director, Maiwenn was also an attendee at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011 when she represented her movie, Polisse and it won the Jury award. In 2015, she was back with ‘My King’ barring Emmanuelle Bercot. It is expected that her 6th periodical film will also be an exceptional one.
