The cast and crew of Natural Star Nani’s 30th film came to social media on Thursday morning to provide the first look and glimpse of the upcoming project. The film named ‘Hi Nanna,’ which also stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead, is set to hit theatres on December 21st, 2023.
Mrunal shared the first look on social media, captioning her photo, “The wait is over! Here’s a peek into our cute little world of #HiNanna Can’t wait for you all to witness this heartwarming story unfold on the big screen”
The first look includes both stars as well as a young girl who plays Nani’s kid in the film. The plot is deconstructed in the minute-long cut that follows the first look, with Mrunal playing a stranger who befriends Nani’s daughter. Nani appears to be a single father who is having difficulty believing and falling in love again. Mrunal addresses Nani as Nanna, which means father in Telugu.
While a seemingly confident Mrunal want to lend a kind hand to both daughter and father, an overwhelmed Nani appears hesitant.
‘Hi Nanna’ will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam across India. Shouryuv directed the film, and Hesham Abdul Wahab composed the music, which will be his second Telugu film as a composer this year, following the Vijay Devarakonda-Samantha Ruth Prabhu-starrer ‘Kushi’.
It will be intriguing for spectators to witness what Nani and Mrunal bring to the screen in “Hi Nanna.” Mrunal also appeared in the Hindi adaptation of Nani’s Jersey. Following Sita Ramam’s massive success last year, the actress has a devoted fan following in Telugu cinema, and she is definitely excited to see how her second film in the language is greeted by the audience.
