Chehre hits the headlines along with the attention on Rhea Chakraborty

The director of the mystery thriller Chehre talks about Rhea Chakraborty and the impact of her case on the film.

Mystery thriller Chehre is in the headlines with its star cast as Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi will be sharing the screen for the first time. The trailer of the film has been released.

Due to the corona crisis, the scheduled release got postponed from April to August 27, 2021. Although the movie hitting the theatres is in the hype , the film is also luring in attention because of Rhea Chakraborty.

The director Rummy Jafry told The Times of India that Rhea Chakraborty’s life will not be affecting the film. Albeit the scenario would be different if it had been released last year concerning the case of the late Sushant Singh Rajput case.

The director recalled the actress’s arrest and many other things and mentioned the contrast between then and now and how people’s perception has changed regarding Rhea Chakraborty.

Rhea Chakraborty was dating late actor Sushant was arrested on a drug processing suspicion. The actress is now out after spending nearly a month in jail.

In addition, the direction says that till last year the actor was being called a ‘witch’ and a ‘gold-digger’ and many other names while this year she was titled as the  ‘Most Desirable Woman’.

According to Rumy Jafry, this is proof of a  change in the perception of the public regarding Rhea and he doesn’t feel the film will affect what happened the previous year.

Annu Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor and Krystle D’souza will be in pivotal roles in the movie with Emraan Hashmi as businessman and Amitabh Bachchan inthe  role of a lawyer.
