Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India gets a release date

Based on the 1971 war, Bhuj: The Pride of India will be premiering on August 13.


The release date of Ajay Devgn’s much-anticipated war movie Bhuj: The Pride of India has been finally disclosed. The movie, starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Ammy Virk, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar and Nora Fatehi, is fixed to release on August 13 on Disney Plus Hotstar.

The Abhishek Dudhaiya directorial is based on true incidents from the 1971 Indo-Pak war when Pakistan attacked Bhuj airbase as part of Operation Chenghiz Khan. The teaser suggests that the Bhuj airfield was attacked 35 times in 14 days. ‘Attacked by 92 bombs and 22 rockets,’ reads the text in the video.

Declaring the release date of the movie on Tuesday, Ajay Devgn shared the motion poster of the film on Twitter. He gave a glance at the film and announced its release date.

@DisneyplusHSVIP #DisneyPlusHotstarMultiplex” the actor tweeted.



The film was planned to be elicited early, nonetheless, due to Coronavirus lockdown in India last year, the production was put on hold. However, the production of the film was started again in Hyderabad on 22 November 2020 and the shooting finally finished in the last week of March 2021.

Although Bhuj- The Pride of India was originally intended to be released in theatres on 14 August 2020, the break in production postponed the screening. Now keeping in mind the Corona Virus circumstance across the nation and the protocols for unlocking theatres, the makers of the film have decided to release Bhuj on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar.
