The makers of the film “16 August 1947” have released two new posters of the film. The film stars Gautham Karthik, Revathy, and Pugazh. The posters also inform the viewers about the release date.
In the poster, actor Gautham can be seen in an intense look , he is wearing traditional dhoti attire holding a fire torch in his hand with a group of people standing along with him.
The story of the film revolves around the freedom struggle that apparently we have neither seen nor heard of before. The film will be released on 7th April 2023 across the globe in 6 languages Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, and English.
The film is produced by A.R. Murugadoss along with Om Prakash Bhatt and Narasimha Choudhary. It is written and directed by NS Ponkumar. A R Murugadoss is also known for his film lik ‘Ghajini’, ‘Holiday: A soldier is never off duty’, ‘ Akira’, ‘Sarkar’ and ‘Darbar’.
The teaser of the film was released in 2022, and the teaser narrates the story of a village in Tamil Nadu , where a brave man fights battle against evil Britishers.
Producer AR Murugadoss tweeted the posters and wrote, “Exciting news! My debut film as a director #1947August16 is all ready to hit the big screens on ‘APRIL 7th’ – WORLDWIDE. Get ready to travel back to a time of courage, love and hope!”
