Movies which can be watched on this day are as follows:

Dhak Dhak

Dhak Dhak stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, Sanjana Sanghi, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in an ensemble cast. The plot centres around four women from various origins who join forces for an extraordinary trip packed with emotions and self-discovery as they embark on a bicycle expedition to Khardung La. The film explores how this voyage drastically alters their destiny. The film, directed by Tarun Dudeja, will be released on October 13.

 

Mission Raniganj 

Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue is based on Jaswant Singh Gill, the main engineer during the 1989 Raniganj Coalfield collapse in West Bengal, which trapped over 65 miners within a mine after explosives were used to burst apart the walls, trapping them inside. Six miners were killed when the mine walls fell in, but 65 miners were able to reach the mining lift, which had become increasingly unstable due to rising water levels. Gill, who was leading the project alongside 2,000 other engineers, created a giant capsule that was lowered into the mine using a crane and successfully extracted the miners. The lead role is be played by Akshay Kumar. Tinu Suresh Desai directed the film, which also stars Parineeti Chopra and was released on October 6.

 

Dono

Rajveer Deol, the son of actor Sunny Deol, who is now basking in the blockbuster success of his last release Gadar 2, and Paloma Thakeria, the daughter of Poonam Dhillon make their debuts in Dono. The film offers a poignant story about two strangers attempting to navigate life after losing their respective love partners. Avnish S. Barjatya, son of Sooraj R. Barjatya, makes his directorial debut. On October 5, Dono was released.

 

Thank You For Coming

Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Shibani Bedi, and Dolly Singh feature in Thank You For Coming. It explores female companionship, unmarried women, love, and the quest of pleasure. Karan Boolani, Rhea Kapoor’s husband, is directing the film. Anil Kapoor and Karan Kundra both appear in the film. Thank You For Coming was released in theatres on October 6.

The Vaccine War by Vivek Agnihotri and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan can also be viewed if still available in theatres till October 13.

This year’s National Cinema Day promises to be a large-scale event, with over 4000 participating screens. PVR, INOX, CINEPOLIS, MIRAJ, CITYPRIDE, ASIAN, MUKTA A2, MOVIE TIME, WAVE, M2K, DELITE, and many more will take part in the celebrations.
