Wi Ha-joon & Jung Ryeo-won CONFIRMED to be a part of upcoming romance drama ‘Graduation’

On October 19, 2023, tvN reported that Wi Ha-joon and Jung Ryeo-won will star as the love characters in the upcoming romance and melodrama Graduation, delivering the Noona Romance genre to anxious K-drama viewers.

Graduation is an upcoming drama about a man and a woman who formerly trained together as students and find their way back to one another after years as academy instructors, reigniting an old and unfinished affair. The synopsis, according to MyDramaList, is as follows:

“Graduation will tell the romance story of a man and a woman who were a couple back when they were still studying and got reunited as academy instructors now that they are already adults.”

Wi Ha-joon and Jung Ryeo-won are ready to play the primary lead roles in the drama, in which they meet at different stages of their lives and rekindle an old chapter.

Ahn Pan-seok, known for his slice-of-life dramas such as Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, Heard It Through the Grapevine, Secret Love Affair, White Tower, South of the Border, and others, will direct Graduation.

With him at the helm, K-drama fans are looking forward to the new story he will tell with his storytelling abilities. Meanwhile, Wi Ha-joon is set to play Lee Jun-ho, a high-ranking employee at a huge corporation who secures his career but eventually resigns for personal reasons.

After resigning, he goes to the academy, where he once learned many things, and reunites with his old instructor and teacher, Seo Hye-jin, a character to be performed by Jung Ryeo-won, after more than a decade, beginning a new chapter in her life.

While some K-drama fans are thrilled to see Wi Ha-joon in a prominent role, others are curious to see how the two interact despite their twelve-year age difference. Needless to say, they are overjoyed to see Wi Ha-joon in a drama directed by one of their favourites.

Graduation will be written by Park Kyung-hwa, and additional information about the new romance drama will be provided by TVN soon.

Wi Ha-joon is currently acting alongside Ji Chang-wook in the Disney+ drama The Worst of Evil, which has viewers on the edge of their seats throughout the season.

Graduation, the forthcoming drama, is set to be published in 2024, and fans can’t wait to watch Wi Ha-joon in the lead role.
