Stray Kids to release new album in November following the success of 5 Star

Stray Kids’ last release came out on on June 2, 2023. It was their third album so far.

Stray Kids is one of numerous K-pop groups making a comeback this year in November. According to the most recent update from their agency, JYP Entertainment, the group will announce their release schedule soon. Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and IN are the members of Stray Kids.

On Tuesday, rumours about Stray Kids’ return arose online after a Korean media first reported on it. Their agency confirmed them in response. They said in a statement, “It is true that Stray Kids is currently preparing for their new album, but the schedule has not been decided yet. It will be announced once it is confirmed.”

While there is still time for the agency to announce the title of the new album and more details, this album will be their first domestic comeback. Their last full album was ★★★★★ (5-STAR), which was released earlier this year. It was their third studio album so far with the hit title track S-Class, featuring rapper Tiger JK in the single Topline.

The record was a huge hit, selling over 5 million copies in June. Following its debut, it even topped charts in eight separate nations. This year, S-Class won Best K-Pop Video at the MTV Video Music Awards. Following the release of the album, the group hosted their third fan meeting, Pilot: For 5-Star, in Seoul, as well as a performance tour in South Korea and Japan. The band also performed at the Lollapalooza music event in Paris.

Following the success of the group’s back-to-back events, supporters have expressed concern for the group. Someone on X, formerly known as Twitter, responded to the news of their return by writing, “Hopefully they are getting the rest they deserve before diving into another album.” Take good care of yourselves!” “But I’m still processing 5 Star,” added another. One more posted, “Let them rest.”

Stray Kids made their debut as a nine-piece band. Woojin departed the group in October 2019 for unexplained reasons. Stray Kids began their K-pop career in January 2018 with a pre-debut extended play (EP) Mixtape. Their first single, I Am Not, was released on March 25, 2018, followed by I Am Who and I Am You. In 2020, their debut album, Go Live, was released. Stray Kids will next be seen on September 23rd at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City.
