Oh My Girl’s Seunghee will be starring in tvN’s new drama Jeong Nyeon.
The actress’ agency WM Entertainment, on February 19, confirmed that Seunghee will be taking on the role of Cho Rok in the drama.
The show, based on a webtoon of the same name is set in the 1950s and tell the story of Yoon Jeong Nyeon, played by Kim Tae Ri, who is a young girl from Mokpo, and has no money or education but is born with a talent of singing. The historical drama follows the happenings that occur when Yoon Jeong Nyeon joins a women’s traditional to pursuit her dreams of becoming rich.
Apart from Seunghee and Kim Tae Ri, the drama also stars Shin Ye Eun, Moon So Ri, Ra Mi Ran, and Jung Eun Chae.
Chok Rok, the character of Seunghee, is of a research student who joined the theatre company through an audition along with Jeong Nyeon.
