BLACKPINK going to launch an interactive Roblox experience titled ‘BLACKPINK: THE PALACE,’

Blackpink is making a splash on Roblox. Beginning on August 25, the multi-national K-pop girl group will have their own Roblox experience, “Blackpink the Palace,” which will be updated with new content all year.

Players will be able to explore a huge pastel castle filled with interactive sequences from Blackpink’s classic music videos. Jennie’s gigantic chess board and black tank, for example, are housed in the “DDU-DU DDU-DU” chamber, as is Lisa’s bank vault.

Caverns beneath the palace allow players to mine in-game cash from dazzling crystals. Their hammer is a carbon copy of Blackpink’s light stick. The more crystals players crush, the more currency they earn, which they may use to decorate and host Blackpink-themed parties for their friends.

Players can also click pictures with Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa’s in-game avatars and purchase the band’s signature “Pink Venom” outfits and emotes for their own avatars.

Beginning August 25, fans can access the experience on Roblox via this link. Fans who visit the experience within the first 24 hours will receive a special badge to post on their Roblox profiles.

Blackpink is the third K-pop group to launch a Roblox interactive fanhub. NCT 127 opened NCT 127 World earlier this year, and Twice welcomed fans to Twice Square. According to Roblox, the latter has received 60 million visits to far, demonstrating the enormous potential for virtual fan communities.

Karta, the metaverse studio behind Twice Square, collaborated with YG PLUS, a subsidiary of Blackpink’s firm YG Entertainment, to create Blackpink Palace.
