After the release in the year 2019, Demon Slayer has become one of the most popular, most appreciated and well accepted anime franchise worldwide. The protagonist of the anime is Tanjiro Kamado, the entire plot revolves around Tanjiro’s character whose family was brutally murdered by a demon. Tanjiro’s sister Nezuko who was the only one alive after the demon’s attack and then she also turned in a demon. A conflict between Tanjiro and demon has taken place, Tanjiro became a demon slayer in order to avenge his family and turn his sister a human again.
The main theme of this classic tale is about good versus evil, where the protagonist in the Demon Slayer Corp fight against their ultimate nemesis, Muzan Kibutsuji.
Thousands years ago, during the Heian Era, Muzan Kibutsuji was turned into a demon by a doctor during an experimental treatment who was actually aiming to cure terminal illness. Muzan was different from the conventional villains who aspires for world domination and a position similar to god. But on the other hand Muzan wanted to live a life free from the fear of death, he wanted to experience life as if he was immortal and his existance was eternal.
Muzan accepted his flaws, he was well aware about his weakness. He wanted to rid himself of his fatal weakness to sunlight. He knew in order to do so he needed Blue Spider Lily, which he believed is his key to become immune from sunlight. But as his quest for the spider led him no where, he rather focused on making demons strong enough to walk in the sunlight.
