Imran Khan to make a comeback with comedy film, backed by Aamir Khan

After a hiatus from the silver screen, Imran Khan, the talented actor known for his charming performances, is gearing up for a much-awaited comeback. This time, he’s set to tickle our funny bones in a rib-tickling comedy titled “Happy Patel,” produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions.

Imran Khan’s comeback has been a topic of speculation for some time now, and it seems he’s found the perfect project to re-enter the spotlight. “Imran has finally locked in his comeback project, nearly eight months after he hinted at the possibility of returning to movies last year. He will star in and as Happy Patel in a quirky comedy produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The film is a laugh-riot and is set in a familiar yet uniquely fresh world, reminiscent of Imran’s previous works. Shooting has already commenced in Goa,” Peepingmoon quoted a source as saying.

While fans were eagerly awaiting Imran’s return through a spy series on Disney plus Hotstar, plans took a different turn due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite initial excitement for the spy thriller, the project was shelved following Hotstar’s acquisition by Jio. However, Imran’s outlook remains optimistic as he shared in a recent interview, expressing gratitude that the project didn’t materialize. He emphasized a desire to move away from characters reliant on guns to solve problems, hinting at the diverse roles he seeks to explore in his comeback.

Imran Khan’s association with the film industry runs deep, as the nephew of none other than the legendary actor Aamir Khan. His journey in cinema began with portraying the childhood version of Aamir in iconic films like “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” and “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.” Imran’s transition to a leading actor was met with acclaim, especially with his memorable debut in “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” alongside Genelia D’Souza.
