As the year 2024 draws to a close, IMDb has unveiled its list of the most popular Indian movies and web series of the year. In a surprise twist, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s Kalki 2898 AD has emerged as the most popular Indian movie of 2024, followed closely by Stree 2 and Maharaja.

On the web series front, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar emerged as the most popular Indian web series of 2024. Tanya Bami, series head of Netflix India, expressed her delight over the inclusion of three Netflix series in the list, saying, “Seeing our Indian series earn the top recognition is truly heartening. Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, our most ambitious drama series yet, became a cultural phenomenon.”
