Ursula Corbero and Richard Dormer join Eddie Redmayne in Day of the Jackal series

Ursula Corbero, Charles Dance, and Richard Dormer will be collaborating with Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch for the upcoming TV adaption of The Day of the Jackal for Sky and Peacock. While Charles and Richard are known for the roles in Game of Thrones, Ursula rose to international fame with her appearance as Tokyo in Money Heist.

The actress will play Nuria, “someone at the heart of the Jackal’s personal life, entirely unaware of who he truly is,” while Charles and Richard will features as Timothy Winthrop and Norman, respectively.


Apart from them, the joining cast includes Chukwudi Iwuji as Osita Halcrow, Khalid Abdalla as Ulle Dag Charles, Jonjoe O’Neil as Edward Carver, Lia Williams as Isabel Kirby, Eleanor Matsuura as Zina Jansone, and Sule Rimi as Paul Pullman.

Meanwhile, Eddie will be playing the role of Redmayne, who is a famous fictional assassin in the original series based on the Fredrick Forsyth novel and award winning 1973 film adaption of the same name from Universal Pictures. The star is also executive producing the show.

The Day of the Jackal, which was set in 1962 and based on attempts to assassinate French president Charles de Gaulle, this contemporary drama will delve deeper into the chameleon like ‘antihero’ at the heart of the story in a “high octane and thriller” set amidst the turbulent geo-political landscape of our time.
