The teaser for Black Adam, starring Dwayne Johnson, was delivered at DC fandom. Johnson shared a video on his Twitter account, which sees him changing into DC’s villain.

In the montage, the actors, Noah Centineo (Atom Smasher), Pierce Brosnan (Dr. Fate), Aldis Hodge (Hawk Man), and Sara Shahi (Isis) present their character, and we can see behind-the-scenes footage, even a peek of Dwayne Johnson’s god-like character.

Johnson shared the teaser with the caption, ” Ladies & gents…Enjoy your WORLD EXCLUSIVE first look⚡️He is ruthless. He is unstoppable. He is the reason the hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change. He is #BLACKADAM. The Man in Black has come around… #DCFanDome @SevenBucksProd @flynnpictureco”

Dwayne Johnson uncovered that in one of the beginning scenes of the movie, archeologists tragically destroy Black Adam with a bolt of lightning. The hooded figure quickly turns the man to dust, catches a bullet in midair, and afterward takes to the sky as the title appears.

Made by Otto Binder and CC Beck in 1945, Black Adam was a villain in the first Captain Marvel series published by Fawcett funnies. DC later rebranded the old Captain Marvel (for clear reasons), preparing for the 2019 film Shazam! featuring Zachary Levi. Johnson was initially expected to show up in that movie, however, Black Adam was spun off into its movie, which he portrays as a “passion project.”

Black Adam was intended to come out in 2021 but got postponed because of the COVID pandemic. It is now set to premiere on July 29, 2022
