The Lazarus Project: Sky cancels hit show post season two

Sky has officially canceled the hit science-fiction series The Lazarus Project after season two. The show was premiered in June 2022 and was renewed for another season in just a couple of months.. The series stars British actor Paapa Essiedu as George, a man who begins to re-live after witnessing the end of the world.

The show also features Anjli Mohindra from The Sarah Jane Adventures, Tom Burke from The Musketeers, Brian Gleeson from Snow White and the Huntsman, and Caroline Quentin from Men Behaving Badly in pivotal roles.

Post its premiere, the show became the streamer’s second biggest new scripted launch by gaining a 28 day audience of 1.7 million. It also earned critical acclaim as the lead actor was nominated for BAFTA TV Award.

Despite the success, the streaming platform has decided not to move ahead with another season.
