Following the bidding war, Netflix won the series and ordered it straight to series in January, which was soon after last year’s strike. The adaption was created by Tina and her fellow 30 Rock alums Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.

The movie will begin its production later this year. The original film, written and directed by Alda, revolves around three couples who take vacations together each season and explores the changes in the group dynamic when one of couple split up and the man bring a much younger woman on subsequent trips. The cast of the original included Carol Burnett, Rita Moreno, Sandy Dennis, Len Cariou, Jack Weston, and Bess Armstrong.

Steve will be making his comeback on the streaming platform after his two season turn on Space Force, which marked a reunion for the award winning actor with the creator of The Office, Greg Daniels.
