Molly O’Connell’s feelings for Shep Rose have become a topic of discussion among the Southern Charm cast, but even his former girlfriend, Taylor Ann Green, appears unfazed by the possibility of a romance between them.
Following Rose’s split from Sienna Evans, which was highlighted in the March 6 episode of the Bravo series, several cast members encouraged O’Connell to pursue him while they were still in the Bahamas. However, O’Connell, 37, expressed discomfort with the situation, likening it to being back in middle school.
Upon returning to Charleston, she sought advice from Green, 30, revealing that while she had no deep romantic feelings for Rose, the group’s insistence made her uneasy. Green acknowledged that the situation felt somewhat forced, an assessment O’Connell agreed with. In a confessional, O’Connell admitted feeling embarrassed—not because of Rose, but due to the group’s insistence on pushing the idea.
Reflecting on Rose’s dating history, O’Connell noted she had observed his relationships, including with Green, and was hesitant about investing emotionally. She also jokingly remarked about being a decade older than his usual partners.
Green, who dated Rose for two years before their 2022 breakup, admitted seeing potential between them, citing their shared values and quirky personalities. However, she playfully pointed out that O’Connell likely wouldn’t share Rose’s history of infidelity.
Ultimately, Green encouraged O’Connell to embrace dating but suggested meeting someone naturally. O’Connell humorously concluded that she would focus on her pets rather than Charleston’s dating scene.
Southern Charm airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
