So how much baggage is Wade bringing into ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’?

At this rate, it feels like if we blink just a few more times, we’ll magically find ourselves plopped into our local cinemas, ready to soak in the bloodiest, most foul-mouthed, and possibly the most cameo-packed extravaganza that Marvel Studios has ever unleashed.

No doubt about it, Deadpool & Wolverine has firmly stamped itself as the ultimate summer blockbuster event, and as the days roll by, the anticipation just keeps ramping up, fueled by a promotional campaign that’s turned into an endless meme factory.

But hey, would we expect anything less from the Merc With the Mouth? Those of us who’ve been following this crimson-clad mercenary since his comic book origins know all too well his knack for injecting cheeky irreverence into every situation. And even those who met him through the silver screen are hip to his game by now.

How many Deadpool movies are there?

When it comes to Marvel’s Deadpool lineup, we’re looking at a total of three movies, counting the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine. The first two flicks hit theaters under the 20th Century Fox banner, aptly titled Deadpool and Deadpool 2. These R-rated romps treated us to a smorgasbord of antics, from Wade’s showdown with Francis to his rather dubious role as Firefist’s mentor, not to mention his epic recruitment efforts for the short-lived X-Force. And let’s not forget his enduring struggle with that peskiest of adversaries: love.

Sure, there’s that little blip called “Deadpool” in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but we don’t dwell on that one. Then there’s Once Upon a Deadpool, the PG-13 cut of Deadpool 2, though whether it qualifies as a separate movie is a hot topic of debate.

And let’s face it, that last bit about the bromance between Logan and Wade? It’s the heart and soul of Deadpool & Wolverine. Because what’s purer than the love shared between these two unlikely pals? Get ready for sparks to fly when Deadpool & Wolverine hits cinemas on July 26.
