In a recent interview with Vogue Australia the American singer opened up about the reason she chose the word ‘rare’ for her album, her neck tattoo and her beauty brand. The singer opened up in the recent interview and talked about how her past relationship experienced have changed her perspective over things. She also revealed what she felt was missing in her past relationships.
The singer stated that most of her past relationship experiences have been “cursed”, she further added her views on how she felt about being a part of it when she was young. In a conversation with Vogue Australia, she stated, “I’ve been way too young to be exposed to certain things when I was in relationships. I guess I needed to find what was that word for me, because I felt so less than in past relationships, and never really felt equal.”
She went ahead to explain the importance of the word “rare”, she said the word defined the kind of life she wanted for herself instead of the one she was experiencing. She said, “It wasn’t even necessarily like: ‘Oh, I feel that way, let me sing it.’ It was almost like: ‘Actually, I need to feel that way about myself.'”
The singer’s relationship has always been in the spotlight, right from when she was with Justin Bieber in an on and off relationship to the final spilt they had or her short-lived relationship that nearly lasted for 10 months with The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye) and ended in 2017. As per a report by ET last year the singer is presently believed to be single, “She [Selena] is comfortable dating, but also comfortable being single. She’s not rushing into anything.”
