Noah Wyle to headline The Pitt ordered by Max with R Scott Gemwill as showrunner

Max has ordered a 15-episode series for drama The Pitt, which stars and executive produced by Noah Wyle from The Librarians. R. Scott Gemmill will be serving as showrunner of the series, from John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The project marks a reunion for Wyle, Wells, and Gemmill, as they have earlier collaborated for ER.

The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges faced by healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontliner heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.
