Neve Campbell will be returning as Sidney Prescott for the next film in the Scream franchise.
The actress took to her Instagram on Tuesday and shared that she has been asked to reprise her role and is happy to return to the pic, which for now is known only as Untitled Scream 7 and will be directed by original Scream writer Kevin Williamson from a script penned by Guy Busick.
Neve did not feature in the latest Scream movie, which was sixth in the film franchise, due to pay dispute. Her most recent appearance on the film franchise has been 2022’s Scream, which served as a franchise reboot. Recently, in January, she had hinted that she would not rule out reprising her role on Scream for the right price.
Meanwhile, Scream 6 starred Jenna Ortega, who will not be returning for its seventh part due to her contrasting shooting schedule with Wednesday.
