Yael Grobglas of Jane the Virgin is set to reunite with the showrunner and studio behind the popular CW dramedy series. Yael has been roped in as a recurring star in the upcoming CBS drama series, Matlock, which is being headlined by Kathy Bates, and it comes from the developed of Jane the Virgin, Jennie Snyder Urman and CBS Studios.
Matlock, which has been inspired by the classic TV series starring Andy Griffith, post achieving success in her younger years, the brilliant septuagenarian Madeline Matlock, played by Kathy, rejoins the work force at this prestigious law firm where she employs her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics to win cases. She has been assigned to Olivia, played by Skye P. Marshall, who is a senior attorney and rainmaker with a thirst for justice. The latter’s ex- husband, Julian, played by Jason Ritter, the son of the head of the firm, played by Beau Bridges, is fascinated by Matty and her clever skills.
Speaking of Yael’s role, she will be portraying Shae Banfield, the law firm’s devastatingly insightful jury consultant, who is also known as human lie detector, due to her ability of sniffing out truth using her mastery of body language.
