Emmy nominated Succession director Lorene Scafaria is back at to direct and executive produce the pilot of half hour comedy on the network, starring, written, and executive produced by Rachel Sennott.
In the untitled project, a codependent friend group reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition and new relationships have changed them.
The episodes in HBO hit series Succession – Too Much Birthday, Living, and Honeymoon States – were directed by Lorene. Two of the first episodes earned her Emmy nominated in the Outstanding Directing for Drama Series category.
This marks Lorene’s return to comedy genre, as she has earlier helmed multiple episodes of Fox’s New Girl. Moreover, she also wrote and directed the 2019 feature Hustlers, which starred Jennifer Lopez and Lili Reinhart. She is repped by UTA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
