Hulu has canceled Death and Other Details after one season and less than a month since the release of its finale. The ten-episode mystery show starred Mandy Patinkin and Violett Beane as their characters worked to solve a series of murders while traveling aboard an ocean liner. The murder mystery scored generally mixed reviews across the board.
As announced by The Hollywood Reporter, Death and Other Details has been canceled following the release of its season one, but will remain to stream on Hulu.
Throughout its run, the series failed to make it to the Top 10 streaming rankings. The show joined several other shows canceled by Hulu, including How I Met Your Father, The Great, and The Fool, although this ran for two seasons, while it ran for only one season.
Despite a promising cast and initially entertaining mystery, the series failed to keep the audience into loop. One of the difficulties which made it hard for the viewers was the length of the season. Ten episodes for a murder mystery seems a lot, whose initial intrigue was quick to fade away.
