Gen V season 2 production delayed in wake of lead actor Chance Perdomo passing away

Today was supposed to be a happy day for the cast and crew of Gen V as they were to reconvene in Toronto for the superhero series’ first season 2 table read this afternoon ahead of the start of filming, scheduled for April 8 in the Canadian city.

However, things took an ugly turn when they woke up to the news of their co-star Chance Perdomo, passing away tragically in a motorcycle accident. There is little detail available around the sudden death of the actor, at the age of 27. Chance is believed to be have died last night or early this morning in Upstate New York, on his way back to Toronto. The authorities have informed that no other individual has been involved in the accident.

In wake of Chance’s passing, the production of season 2 of Gen V has been postponed until further notice. After they spend time to grieve Chances’ death, the producers and creators of the series are facing utmost dilemma of moving ahead with season 2 after losing one of its lead actors. They will either have to recast the character being played by the late actor, or will have to re- write the script to cut off his character.
