Drake Bell and Josh Peck reconcile in first public conversation in decades

Bell acknowledged that their dynamic had fluctuated over the years, noting that while there were periods of close friendship, they had also drifted apart without any specific reason.

Drake Bell and Josh Peck have reunited for their first public conversation in years, reflecting on their complicated past and the challenges that shaped their friendship. Speaking on the Monday episode of Peck’s Good Guys podcast, the former Drake & Josh stars discussed the evolution of their relationship, revisiting moments of tension and reconciliation.

Bell acknowledged that their dynamic had fluctuated over the years, noting that while there were periods of close friendship, they had also drifted apart without any specific reason. He also recalled times when external pressures affected their relationship. The duo, who first appeared together on The Amanda Show before landing their Nickelodeon series in 2004, saw their friendship unravel after the show ended, with public friction surfacing in 2017 when Bell was not invited to Peck’s wedding.

Their long-standing disconnect shifted in March 2024 after Bell spoke about the abuse he endured at the hands of dialogue coach Brian Peck in Investigation Discovery’s docuseries Quiet on Set. In response, Peck publicly expressed support for Bell and other survivors, later addressing the issue on the podcast.

Bell revealed that the abuse investigation coincided with the filming of Drake & Josh, forcing him to navigate personal trauma while continuing his career. Peck, who had been unaware of the details at the time, recalled sensing that something was wrong when Brian abruptly left the set.

The discussion also touched on the letters of support written for Brian following his arrest, which Bell admitted shattered his trust in industry colleagues. The conversation marked a significant step toward reconciliation between the former co-stars.
