The CSI franchise on CBS is coming to an end as the announcement was made on Friday that the network has opted not to renew CSI: Vegas for a fourth season.
On Saturday, CSI and CSI: Vegas star Marg Helgenberger, who played the character Catherine Willows for 14 seasons on the original series and the followup, reflected on the cancellation.
“Each and every person involved with the making of this series brought their A game each and every day,” wrote Marg on her Instagram handle along with the photo of the cast from the set. “It was truly a pleasure & honor to work/play alongside such a fun & talented company of story tellers. Immeasurable thanks & gratitude to all for making this experience such a memorable ride.”
Lex Medlin, who similar to Marg joined the season 2 of CSI: Vegas as regular, posted a similar behind the scene photo on Instagram with a note to fans about the cancellation.
“I am going to miss the cast and crew so very much,” said Lex, who plays CSI Level I Beau Finado. She added that most of all she will miss Beau.
In addition to Lex and Marg, the current cast also includes Paula Newsome, Mandeep Dhillon, Ariana Guerra, Matt Lauria, and Jay Lee.
The finale is set for May 19.
