According to a story from Billboard on Tuesday, Lana Del Rey is engaged to artist and music manager Evan Winiker.
The “Candy Necklace” singer has mostly kept her relationship with Winiker a secret. This week, she released her eagerly awaited eighth studio album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.”
Only a few occasions were the couple, who have apparently been dating for a few months, spotted together. Even on social media, Del Rey and Winiker, a managing partner at Range Media, have been rather quiet about their romance.
The “Ride” singer, 37, stoked engagement rumours after she was photographed wearing a big diamond sparkler at the Billboard Women in Music event on March 1. Disco Biscuits, MAX, and Daya are among the artists that Winiker manages.
The 40-year-old has experience in the music industry, having previously played in a band called Steel Train with producer and composer Jack Antonoff.
Del Rey and Antonoff collaborated extensively on a number of her projects, including “Norman F-king Rockwell,” her album from 2019, “Chemtrails Over the Country Club,” and her most recent album, which was released on March 24.
The “Summertime Sadness” singer was reportedly linked to musician Jack Donaghue before her alleged relationship with Winiker.
Although the precise timing of their relationship is unknown, Del Rey, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, was rumoured to have dated Salem frontman, 33, for a few months in early 2022.
Prior to that, Del Rey was dating country music performer Clayton Johnson, whom she met in 2020 through a dating app. Later that year, they were said to be engaged, but they broke up anyway without saying anything about it.
Scottish singer-songwriter Barrie-James O’Neill, whom Del Rey dated from 2011 until 2014, is among her previous love interests. From 2014 to 2015, she dated Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini. In 2017, she had a fleeting romance with rapper G-Eazy. She also dated cop Sean “Sticks” Larkin and even hit the 2020 Grammys red carpet with him. However, they broke up just months later.
Del Rey stated to Rolling Stone in 2014 that she had “an affinity for really good, strong, self-assured people.”
The singer of “Born to Die” said to Harper’s Bazaar the following year that she enjoys “coming home and having someone there.”
“For someone like me – and it’s not a codependent thing – I just like having someone there. I’ve been alone, and that’s fine. But I like to come home and have someone there,” she told the outlet at the time.
