In a dramatic turn of events, comedian-actor Sunil Pal, who had gone missing for several hours after traveling out of Mumbai for a show, has been located safe and sound. His wife, Sarita Pal, had filed a missing person complaint at the Santacruz police station on December 3, after repeated attempts to contact him failed.

In a swift response, Sunil Pal was located just a few hours later and established contact with his wife and the authorities. When Bollywood paparazzo Viral Bhayani reached out to Sarita, she provided an update on her husband’s whereabouts. In a message, she confirmed, “Sunil ji se baat ho gayee (I have spoken to Sunil ji). He has spoken to the police.”

According to reports, Pal was traveling out of Mumbai for a show and had informed his wife that he would return on December 3. However, when she tried to contact him, his phone was unreachable, and later, it was switched off, prompting her to seek police assistance.

What happened

A friend of the comedian revealed that Pal was facing a “problem,” but declined to elaborate on the matter. Echoing similar sentiments, trade analyst Girish Wankhede shared with the Times of India, “He told me there was a problem, but he is out of it.” Despite the confirmation of a problem, Wankhede refrained from disclosing any further details, leaving the exact nature of the issue unclear.

Prior to going missing, Pal had shared a video on his social media handles, in which he was seen enjoying a speed boat ride with a few men. “Nadiya ke paar,” he captioned the video, without revealing where it was shot.

Sunil Pal rose to fame after winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005. He went on to host The Great Indian Comedy Show and participate in Comedy Champions and Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars. Pal has also appeared in several films, including Hum Tum (2004) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006).

Sunil Pal is expected to return to Mumbai on December 4. His wife, Sarita, has declined to share further details about the incident.
