Youtuber Dhruv Rathee rubbishes allegations of creating paid videos on Kangana Ranaut and Sushant Singh Rajput

A Twitter user claimed that a major YouTuber has been paid Rs 65 Lac for making videos about Kangana Ranaut and Sushant Singh Rajput’s family.

Prominent YouTuber Dhruv Rathee is known for making analytical videos regarding current affairs and social issues. The YouTuber enjoys a fanbase of 4 million subscribers. Recently, a Twitter user has alleged that a ‘major YouTuber’ earned a vast amount for making videos related to Kangana Ranaut and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s family. Dhruv, supposing that the tweet is about him, called it ‘fake news’ and gave his clarification to the public.

On Saturday (31st October) a Twitter user named Eray Cather tweeted, “ATTENTION: A major YouTuber with more than 4m subscribers has just been paid 65 lac Rs to make an analytical video “exposing role of SSR’s family in his death”. Deadline given to him is 1-2 weeks. The same YouTuber was earlier hired to target Kangana & Arnab.”

Eray further added, “His usual fee is 30-40 lac Rs per video. For Kangana and Arnab he was paid 35 lac Rs for each video. More details awaited.” Interestingly, Eray’s tweet does not name any YouTuber. He has also not tagged anyone in the tweet. However, the tweet caught Dhruv’s attention, who reacted to the tweet by calling it “bullshit fake news”.

Dhruv re-tweeted Eray’s tweet and wrote, “Lol, is this bullshit fake news referring to me?” He then denied the allegation saying that he was not paid by anyone to make a video on Kangana. He also mentioned that he does not plan to make a video on SSR either.

To this, Eray retorted by writing that he hasn’t named anyone, but if case Dhruv feels it’s him, then he’s welcome. He then added, “Two: About your fees & deals, @dhruv_rathee — I will definitely talk about it, but my focus is not that as of now. So wait for a while. Three: Am glad you dropped the vid, or not planning now. You answered it.”

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14th June 2020, due to suicide. The investigation of the case is currently under process.
