Vijay Varma is all set for a grand adventure, as he leads Anubhav Sinha’s first OTT show IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, which is based on hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC 814. He plays the captain of the ill-fated flight, which was hijacked from Nepal and landed in Kandahar, resulting in the release of three terrorists.
Now, during an interview with ETimes, Vijay shared that he has never been afraid of flying even as a child. Moreover, he added that he was rather fascinated by it.
However, in the same interview to ETimes, the actor also ended up spilling the beans that Manoj Bajpayee is very much scared of flying. “I have seen Manoj sir being very scared, like he would sit very tensely during the take off, and I ended up telling him, Sir… you are Bhiku Mhatre,” he said.
Director Anubhav Sinha also confirmed the same as he shared that during the shoot of Mumbai Ka King Kaun scene in Satya, the actor was petrified of standing at the parapet. Kumud Mishra, who is also a part of the show, added that Manoj would get worried even if he’s sitting in a car and notices a pothole.
IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack also features Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Dia Mirza, Manoj Pahwa and many more.
