Vidya Balan is reuniting with Ellipsis Entertainment producers Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar following the success of their 2017 social comedy Tumhari Sulu. We learned that after months of discussion, they’ve settled on a genuine slice-of-life drama that will hit the floors once the COVID-19 lockdown is lifted. As Vidya Balan’s latest film Sherni, which explores the human-wildlife interaction, debuts on Amazon Prime Video today, we have an intriguing new update on her next project that will spark the interest of her fans.

Vidya Balan’s yet-to-be-titled Ellipsis Entertainment movie will also include Pratik Gandhi, the emerging Bollywood star. In this romantic comedy, the star of Scam 1992 will be romantically paired opposite Vidya. It’s thought to revolve on two couples, with Vidya and Pratik playing the first love couple, while the creators have yet to cast the second. The film, which Swati Iyer Chawla co-produced, is claimed to be fighting societal patriarchy through a new-age plot that hasn’t been tried in the Hindi film business before.
