Twitter user questions Sona Mohapatra’s silence over Salman Khan helping Priyanka

Sona Mohapatra was questioned by a Twitter user for not commenting on Salman helping Priyanka when she has often criticised Salman in the past.

Actress Priyanka Chopra in her latest memoir ‘Unfinished’ had revealed that Salman Khan had once helped him escape an uncomfortable situation. Singer Sona Mohapatra has criticised Salman Khan and had called him the ‘poster child of toxic masculinity.’

A Twitter user on July 4 asked her, “In 2019 you mocked Salman by a tweet related to Priyanka Chopra. But why didn’t you say anything for Him when Priyanka Chopra praised Salman khan in her book “Unfinished” as he saved her from doing a scene in a movie which was uncomfortable for her.” To which the singer replied, “Cus I have better things to do,” with three emojis.

Actress Priyanka Chopra in her latest memoir ‘Unfinished’ had mentioned an incident from the very start of her career. She revealed that a director told her, “‘chaddiyan dikhni chahiye” (panties should be seen) in a song to attract the audience. She added, that she quit the film the next day although, the director came on the sets of another film of hers in an ‘agitated state. Her co-star, Salman Khan helped her.

Previously in 2019, the singer had slammed Salman for saying, Priyanka left the ‘biggest film of her career’ to get married. He added, “Usually people leave their husbands for this.”

The singer had tweeted on that statement saying, “Cus @priyankachopra has better things to do in life, real men to hang out with & more importantly, girls to inspire with her journey.”

She had tweeted, “A showcase & poster child of toxic masculinity. Low brow dig at not only a woman who was not in the room but a disgusting disregard & contempt for the woman & colleague sitting next to him in the same room. Unless we call out such serial bad behaviour, nothing changes, #India,” with a Red circle.
