Sonam Bajwa was cast opposite Shehnaaz Gill in the 2021 film ‘Honsla Rakh’ along with the global sensation Diljit Dosanjh. The film was directed by Amarjit Singh Saron and produced by the singer. In a recent interview, she revealed her bond with Shehnaaz Gill and shared her experience.
When asked RJ Siddharth Kanan if she faced any kind of competition while working with Shehnaaz, Sonam said, “I don’t think so. I got the narration for the entire script. I read it and unfortunately, we didn’t have scenes together. We were together in a song and we had a lot of fun. There was no competition… honestly, because I was just so secure by what I was going to do on screen. I already knew my part. So there was no competition like that.”
She further added, “But, I will be very honest when I was doing a song with her, she is so good as a dancer, I was like ‘Wow’. We were teaching each other steps. It made me feel like ‘Oh my God. When someone, even your co-star, started performing well, you also feel like doing the same. So, it made me feel more responsible. She is so good at what she is doing.”
Honsla Rakh was shot in Canada and depicted Diljit as a divorced Husband who raises his child on his own. Shehnaaz Gill acts as his ex-wife and Diljit subsequently falls in love with Sonam, who comes off as his new lover.
Sonam Bajwa will be appearing in Carry on Jatta 3, which is scheduled to release on the 29th of June. While Shehnaaz debuted in the Bollywood Industry through Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
