Tabu first appeared on silver screen as a child artist with legendary Dev Anand.

Tabu is niece of veteran actress Shabana Azmi. Tabu was born in Hyderabad to a Muslim family. Shabana Azmi is Tabu’s father, Jamal Hashmi’s sister.

Being a Muslim, one might expect the actress being non vegetarian. But she is a pure vegetarian. She is very conscious about her fitness, and follows vegetarian diet and sometimes vegan diet.
