Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj duo ready to collaborate again, ‘Khufiya’ is the next project

The duo of actress Tabu and filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is one of the dreamy collaborations. The two have worked jointly in great films like ‘Maqbool’ and ‘Haider’. Now the duo is ready for their third collaboration. According to the News.18 reports, Vishal has signed Tabu for his forthcoming film. Vishal’s next directorial venture is titled ‘Khufiya’, it is asserted to be a Netflix original.

According to reports, Vishal Bhardwaj’s next ‘Khufia’ is expected to be an action drama. Ali Fazal has also been signed along with Tabu. It will be Ali’s first venture with Vishal. According to pinkvilla, “The film is an adaptation of the book Escape to Nowhere by Amar Bhushan. It is a story about Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and how a joint secretary, disappears despite being under 24-hour surveillance”. It also stars Wamiqa Gabi and Ashish Vidyarthi. The filmmaker has also confirmed the Mussoorie location for shooting. It is speculated that the shooting of the film will commence by the end of this year.

Vishal Bhardwaj’s last directorial was ‘Pataakha’, which was released in 2018. Radhika Madan, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover were in this film. It is important to note that Vishal Bhardwaj’s son Aakash Bhardwaj is also stepping into the world of filmmaking with ‘Kuttey’, a caper-thriller. Tabu is also in a crucial role in this film. Akash’s film features Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen, Kamud Mishra, Radhika Magan, and Shardul Bhardwaj.
