A complaint has been filed against Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, known for films such as ‘Pink,’ ‘Blurr,’ ‘Haseen Dillruba,’ and others, for infringing on religious sentiments after she wore a necklace with Goddess Lakshmi’s sculpture paired with a revealing set of clothing, according to the complainant.
Indore city’s Hind Rakshak Sangasan has filed charges against film actress Taapsee Pannu for offending religious sentiments and spreading obscenities, police said Monday. The allegation was conducted by Eklavia Singh Gaul, Convener of Indore. According to Gaur, the actress posted her pictures on her Instagram on March 14, 2023.
According to the lawsuit, this is from a fashion presentation in which she allegedly wore her provocative outfit and jewelry that symbolized Goddess Lakshmi.
Gaur added that this was a calculated attempt to outlaw Sanatan Dharma. Police said they had received a complaint from Eklavya Gaur against actress Taapsee Pannu for hurting her religious feelings and image of ‘Sanatan Dharma’.
Talking about the complaint, SHO, Chhatri Pura PS said, “We received a complaint from Eklavya Gaur (son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur) against actor Taapsee Pannu for hurting religious sentiments and image of ‘Sanatan Dharma’ by wearing a locket having ‘Goddess Laxmi’ with revealing dress during ramp walk at Lakme Fashion Week held on March 12 in Mumbai.”
