Sushant Singh Rajput’s team memorialised his official Instagram profile, fans flooded his account with heartwarming comments

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s Instagram account has been memorialised today. Sushant’s team added the word “Remembering” on the actor’s official Instagram account within the same week he was found dead at his Mumbai home. The talented actor committed suicide on June 14 and the world started outpouring their grief and shock on social media. As soon as the actor’s Instagram profile was marked with the word “Remembering” next to his name, the fans of the late actor flooded his last few posts with messages and tributes.

The photo and video-sharing platform, Instagram allows the memorial feature in order to “remember someone’s life after they’ve passed away.” Posts on such memorialised accounts remain visible to the audience and can be shared around, but nobody can log into the account once it has been memorialised. In other words, the account stands frozen after being memorialised.

Sushant Singh Rajput was an occasional user on Instagram but one can get a good glimpse of his life on it. The actor has more than 12.4 million followers and has posted 87 updates so far, including his last post in which actor shared a memory of his mother with caption, “Blurred past evaporating from teardrops, unending dreams carving an arc of smile and a fleeting life, negotiating between the two…Maa.”

Actor’s last Instagram post was flooded with over 2 lakh comments from shocked and heartbroken fans. His Instagram following has continued to increase at a constant speed even after the news of his sudden demise broke online on June 14.
