Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli sent waves throughout the Indian cinema when they announced their collaboration for upcoming mega film SSMB29, which is said to be a globetrotter. Though the announcement of the film’s team has been enough to create the buzz among audience, the fans have been much more eager to get more details about it.
Now, reports are making rounds on internet that global star Priyanka Chopra might join the cast as female lead. If the reports are to be true, the movie will mark her significant return to Indian cinema, considering her last film being Sky Is Pink, released in 2019.
Interestingly, PeeCee hinted at her comeback during the Red Sea Film Festival 2024. While interacting with her fans, the actor stated that she is longing to return to Indian cinema as she misses the dancing and is currently pretty close onto finalizing a project for next year.
Speaking of the film, it is said to go on floors in January 2025, and is expected to hit the theatres in 2027 or 2028. The movie promises to be a grand spectacle as it will be reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 1,000 crore. The plot, being penned by Vijayendra Prasad, is rumored to have a blend of adventure and mythological elements.
