Siddharth Anand’s much-awaited film Fighter has finally got its theatrical release this week. Starring Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor, the film was highly anticipated by the fans. The makers of the film along with the star cast are currently basking in the success of Fighter. The movie is receiving positive reviews from fans and critics.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Siddharth Anand shared some interesting details regarding the sequel of Figher. During the conversation, he was asked if he had any plans to make a second instalment for the film. To which he replied by saying that the audience will decide that. Also, it’s just been three days since the movie’s release.


If the movie is showered with immense love by the audience, he will surely love to make Fighter into a larger story. He has some great ideas, which he would like to put down for the sequel part.

Adding further, the filmmaker stated that he has never been excited about making part 2s. He stated that he would be one of the directors who has never made a sequel. Though, there are ace directors in the country who have made sequels and have been successful.

But Siddharth is one of the filmmakers who hasn’t made a sequel yet. However, it also suggests he might want to make a sequel one day.

Siddharth even remarked that he wanted to create new stories and characters. Meanwhile, there is also a sort of comfort zone in creating sequels. You try to match it to the previous film and start relying on nostalgia. However, he doesn’t enjoy it and it will also keep him stagnated.

Siddharth doesn’t want to stagnate in the process of filmmaking and would want to challenge himself with every new movie. Sequels are meant for comfort zones and he doesn’t want to feel comfortable.

Fighter had its theatrical release on the eve of Republic Day i.e. 25th January. The film is receiving heartfelt responses from the fans and is achieving massive success.
