Raj Kundra, who is preparing to release his debut film UT69, has uploaded a mysterious post on his official X account, sparking divorce claims. Yes, you read that correctly.
Raj responded in the early morning hours of Friday (October 20), “We have separated and kindly request you to give us time during this difficult period.” Along with his post, he included the folded hand and broken heart emojis.
However, Raj did not include Shilpa’s name in his enigmatic note. It should be noted that Shilpa has not responded to his post. The actress did not update her social media accounts.
Soon after Raj published the image, numerous individuals stated that he and Shilpa were discussing divorce. Others, however, refused to believe it and claimed it was a publicity stunt before the premiere of his film UT 69.
To clarify, Raj uploaded a follow-up post in which he stated that he is not leaving Shilpa.

Shilpa and Raj married in 2009. They married in the same year. In 2012, they welcomed their first child, a son named Viaan Raj Kundra. In February 2020, the couple had their second child, a daughter, via surrogacy. Samisha Kundra was her given name.
Raj was caught in July 2021 and imprisoned for over two months. Raj used to disguise his face with distinctive masks everytime he went out in public after being granted bail.
Last year, Raj had revealed why he wears masks whenever he steps out public places.
“I don’t wear my mask for friends and fans. I wear it for media, that’s all they will get of me from now,” he had told a Twitter user. To another netizen who had the same query, Kundra responded, “I am Not wearing it for public just don’t wish to give media a chance to click my face! I am hurt by the media trial they put me through! Media is not above the law.”
Raj debuted his face in front of the media for the first time in nearly 1.5 years on October 18 during the trailer launch of his upcoming film.
The film UT69 is not Raj’s biopic. It provides a fresh viewpoint on his life and digs into the remarkable chapter of the businessman’s life when he spent 63 days in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail during his pre-trial time. The film, a humorous dark comedy, perfectly captures Raj’s hardships, obstacles, and surprising friendships throughout his stay in prison.
Raj was arrested in July 2021 on suspicion of making pornographic recordings and was released on bail in September. He was charged under the Indian Penal Code, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act, and the Information Technology Act.
