Famous TV actor and winner of Bigg Boss of 13, Sidharth Shukla left us in grief as he passed away on 2nd September 2021. The film fraternity wished the actor a final goodbye and consoled his family.
Sidharth Shukla reportedly died of a severe heart attack at 3 am in morning. His body was taken to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital for post-mortem before being cremated on 3rd September. The videos and photos of the cremation day went viral on social media as the paparazzi chased the actor’s girlfriend, Shehnaaz Gill and family members heading for the crematorium.
But several actors were disturbed by the insensitiveness of the media in the way they reported the event. Actors like Kriti Sanon, Anushka Sharma, comedian Zakir Khan and ex-Bigg Boss contestant, Shefali Jariwala raised their concern regarding the morality of the media.
Media was seen clicking pics even of the actor’ dead boy wrapped in white cloth. Family members and well-wishers who attended the cremation were seen plunging in grief. We all saw those disturbing videos of Shenaaz being unable to talk while sitting behind an actor’s dead body. Some celebs felt hurt and asked the media not to shoot funerals and give privacy to the close ones.
Shefali Jariwala said, “I was so angry to see the way people hounded her. You have to look at her condition. My heart was breaking to watch that. It was not right,” she continues, “Shehnaaz and his mother and sisters they are grieving, you have to give them the space and privacy to do so. And this is basic empathy, where is the compassions? I understand ratings and all but not at this cost.”
