Actor Taapsee Pannu will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming film Dunki, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Pannu says, working on this project was a dream that she never dreamt of, and sometimes while shooting she has to make herself believe that she is in one frame with King Khan.

About working with Khan, Pannu shares, “Shah Rukh sir has been a benchmark for people like us who have come from outside, especially from Delhi. What he has created is history, and it will stay here forever for many upcoming artistes to learn from. Just the fact that I am in a frame with him is too big a deal for me. Sometimes I have to snap myself out of it. I cherish every moment that’s spent on the set with him and Raju sir. Moreover, I see it as schooling that I am getting, and I am also being paid for it. I feel like this new enthusiastic kid who is constantly taking notes and learning a lot from both SRK and Raju sir.”

The ‘Pink’ actor also addresses the whole insider-outsider debate and says, she is still treated like an outsider in the industry, but not in a negative way. “I feel people still don’t treat me as an insider. I still get referred to as someone who did it all by herself and who has a regular life beyond films, or who made it in the industry without any backing. So, people come to me with such kinds of compliments. I am very much an outsider, but surely my struggles are different now. They were different when I entered the industry.”

Ask her if the invitation to film parties is a mark of an insider, Pannu tells us “No, I don’t think so, but still you won’t spot me at film parties as often as other actors of the industry, and the reason is, my mind stops working after 10 p.m.. My day starts really early. So, if I push myself beyond 10, it’s either for work or some really important get-together of people to whom I would want to give my time.”
