
ICC World Cup finals between India and Australia have captivated everyone in its gruesome dilemma. Hosted at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahemdabad, the match was graced by many celebrities from the film industry. The Bollywood king, Shah Rukh Khan also spotlighted the match with his presence.
India lost the match in the end even though they put in a great effort. Post the devastating result, SRK penned down a heartfelt note for team India to boost their confidence.
The Pathaan star took to his X account and shared a tweet. It read, “The way the Indian team has played this whole tournament is a matter of honour and they showed great spirit and tenacity. It’s a sport and there are always a bad day or two. Unfortunately it happened today….but thank u Team India for making us so proud of our sporting legacy in cricket…u bring too much cheer to the whole of India. Love and respect. You make us one proud Nation.”
Other celebrities such as Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Anushka Sharma, and Athiya Shetty also attended the match.
Ranveer Singh, who came for the match with Deepika Padukone also posted a story for the entire team, encouraging them. The actor wrote, “Some highs, some lows. Some good days, some bad days, Some wins, some losses. That’s sport. That’s life. We are all gutted, but let’s applaud our boys for giving it their all.”
Many other celebrities also uplifted the player’s spirits. Throughout the tournament, the Indian team had consecutive wins. However, the finals weren’t in their favour. The Indian team was defeated by 6 wickets by the Kangaroo team.
Shifting towards SRK’s career front, the actor will be appearing in his upcoming comic-drama film Dunki. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in key roles. It is slated to be released on the 22nd of December this year. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
