Shah Rukh Khan expresses horror at Amphan tragedy, says, he feels ‘Hollow’; Kareena Kapoor ruminates, ‘We all need to think’
Cyclone Amphan devastated Odisha and Bengal on a large scale and killed at least 84 people. It made landfall on Wednesday and lashed the coastal areas with ferocious wind and rain. Thousands of the trees were uprooted and electricity lines were brought down, millions of people are now living in darkness.
The destruction was massive, the number of households affected is difficult to imagine. We, the commoners are shaken to the core, and Bollywood is too.
Bollywood stars like Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Shabana Azmi, Kareena Kapoor Khan prayed for the lives affected by the cyclone.
Shah Rukh Khan prayed for the people of Bengal and Odisha, and he said that the news has left him feeling hollow, but we must stay strong.
He tweeted, “My prayers, thoughts & love to those affected by the devastation caused by cyclone Amphan in Bengal & Odisha. The news has left me feeling hollow. Each and every one of them is my own. Like my family. We must stay strong through these testing times until we can smile together again.”

What she shared was a series of pictures of the massive destruction caused by cyclone. At the end of the post, it read, “Bored of Banana breads. Zoom calls. Living in pajamas. Sleeping at 5 am. Netflix and chilling. The price of avocados. Cooking demos. No new shows on Netflix. Couriers stopped. Do domestic airlines are flying. Gyms are shut. So bored yaa. No Haircut appointments. Hair on your upper lip. Missing dressing up. Missing Friday nights. What are your problems?”
