SC grants protection from arrest to actress Poonam Pandey in the porn case. Raj Kundra was also accused of this.

On Tuesday, the Supreme court grants protection from arrest to Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey. Raj Kundra, husband of Shilpa Shetty is one of the main accuse in the porn video case.

Vineet Saran and B.V. Nagarathna issues notice in a bench of justice. The notice is to the Maharashtra government on an appeal filed by Pandey challenging a Bombay high court order. It junks her anticipatory bail plea.

“Issue notice… In the meanwhile, no coercive action is taken against the petitioner.” It says the top court in its order. The Bombay high court declines to grant relief to Pandey. She moves the Supreme Court challenging the high court order. Pandey has made an accused in the FIR along with actor Sherlyn Chopra.

To this, the Bombay High Court declines to entertain the anticipatory bail application filed by Kundra in connection with an FIR registered against him by the Mumbai Police in the porn film racket case.

Approaching the top court after the High Court. Kundra sought anticipatory bail from the session court, which refuses to grant him any relief.

Later on, Kundra claims he is not connected to content creation, publication, or transmission of alleged illegal videos.
