RIP: Veteran actor comedian Satinder Kumar Khosla AKA Birbal dies at 80

Veteran actor comedian Satinder Kumar Khosla popularly known as Birbal passed away on Tuesday evening due to cardiac arrest.

The former actor was admitted at Mumbai’s Kolkilaben Hospital. Birbal’s close friend Jugnu confirmed the news of his passing to ANI.

His final rites will take place on Wednesday. Paying their respects to the late actor the film body of Cine and television artistes association (CINTAA) took to Twitter and shared condolences. Take a look at the post –

Birbal was part of more than 500 films including Hindi, Bhojpuri and Marathi cinema. The actor debuted with renowned director V.Shantaram’s Boond Jo Ban Gayi Moti. Much later his stint in Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay as a prisoner earned him a lot of recognition. Birbal went on to feature in many films post that mainly as a comedian.

Birbal also appeared in films like Sadma, Bol Radha Bol, Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke, Dil, Betaab, Anjaam among others.
