Priyadarshan has to resume shoot for Hungama 2 by September for this reason

Director Priyadarshan finds himself in a dilemma, unlike other filmmakers. The shoot of Hungama 2 is going to re-start on September 15, as the cast includes four child artistes, who are very important to the narrative. The cast also consists of Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jafri and Pranitha Subhash.

It has been more than four months since the shoot halted for Hungama 2. The makers are worried that the child artistes, who are aged between eight to eleven years, may pose a continuity problem because of their steady growth.

“At this age, children grow up rapidly; there are changes in facial structure and height. While the physical changes that have happened in the past four months will not make a huge difference on screen, it will be difficult [to retain continuity] if we have to wait for some more months.

Fortunately, only a song has to be shot with them,” Mid-day quoted the director Priyadarshan’s dilemma. Priyadarshan has returned to Bollywood after seven years with the comic caper.
Reports revealed that the unit will self-quarantine before commencing the shoot. Other than the four child artistes, an 18-month baby is also part of the sequel. “Thankfully, we had completed filming the baby’s portions in Ooty in March. The four children will be required only for four days on the set,” director reveals.

The Producers of the film added that the Himachal Pradesh government has assured them that the shoot can take place in the hills by following the precautionary measures that COVID-19 imposes. “The songs and sequences require us to film on the streets of Kullu and Manali. Considering an outdoor schedule is not possible during the monsoon, we are likely to resume work from September 15,” the producer added.
