On May 22, at Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, the Budhana police arrested Ayazuddin Siddiqui, the older brother of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Ayazuddin was reportedly detained on suspicion of forgery.
Ayazuddin was arrested on suspicion of forging an order letter to the consolidation department on false pretences, ostensibly on behalf of the District Magistrate’s court, and issuing it illegally.
There was a land dispute between the forger and someone by the name of Javed Iqbal. Following the District Magistrate’s complaint and the discovery of the forged order, Ayazuddin was prosecuted under sections 420, 467, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code.
Ayazuddin Siddiqui has had previous run-ins with the law before this one. He was accused in 2018 of offending religious feelings on social media by posting an allegedly offensive picture.
At the same time, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s tumultuous divorce from Aaliya Siddiqui has made headlines. Aaliya filed for divorce from Nawazuddin in May 2020, citing ten years of marital problems and Shamas’s violent behaviour. But Aaliya recently made the decision to revoke the divorce decree, signalling that she wanted to get back together.
In a statement to E-Times, Aaliya shared her thoughts on their changing relationship. She mentioned that they had celebrated their anniversary with their children and expressed hope for a peaceful future together. Aaliya attributed their past issues to external influences and emphasized their commitment to staying together for the sake of their children, particularly their daughter Shora, who was deeply affected by the family discord.
